Sodexo Executive Chef 1 in BOSTON, Massachusetts
Unit Description
Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 1 for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (West Campus) , in Boston, MA. In this role you will work mostly early morning and day time hours Monday-Friday, but will need the flexibility to work as the manager on duty every third weekend. In this role you will own the morning patient meal experience in this 400+ bed hospital.

The successful candidate will:
manage effectively through front-line staff (approximately 15 employees)
oversee food production, paying particular attention to any patient dietary restrictions
ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standard compliance
foster and environment that encourages team development and motivation
ensure Sodexo culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented

have a work history including kitchen management and/or healthcare experience
have experience managing multiple priorities, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service
demonstrate working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
