Sodexo Food Operations Manager 1 in ENOLA, Pennsylvania

Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager I position for Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center located in Enola, Pa . Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center consists of 108 licensed beds and offers "At Your Request" a room service dining program along with a Retail Venue. The successful candidate will be responsible for orchestrating operations between front and back of the house. Will collaborate with Clinical, Food Service and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the patient experience.

Other tasks will include:

  • Perform tray assessments to ensure food quality and presentation along with tray accuracy

  • Menu Development and Innovation in a Retail setting

  • Perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development

  • Have knowledge of nutrition and specialized diets with strong management skills

  • Will oversee Sodexo's At Your Request Room Service dining program, daily meal rounding inclusive of service recovery

  • Evaluate and develop service levels for the overall Patient and Customer Experience and Satisfaction

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years food management experience, computer literacy as well as excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills. Prior food management experience in a health-care setting would be a plus for this role.

  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively

  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service

  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed

  • can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS), Health Touch (HT) and Market Connections (MSC) and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
