SodexoMagic in Corporate Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Catering and Events to be part of creating memorable experiences for our guests at a potential sale with a corporate client in Foster City, California .
ThisDirector of Events and Catering will lead the special events and catering department. The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong background in event planning and management, excellent communication and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
The responsibilities of this role include:
Oversee the planning and execution of all events, ensuring they meet client expectations
Coordinate with clients to understand their event requirements
Work with the Sodexo culinary team to ensure delivery of the menu
Prepare and manage budgets for each event.
Monitor expenses and find cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality of service
Hire, train, and supervise event staff
Track and analyze key performance metrics, including revenue, expenses, and customer feedback, to make data-driven decisions and improvements
The ideal candidate should have experience in:
Event planning and execution
Proven track record managing budgets
Managing a team
Analyzing and tracking reports
Solving problems through innovation and industry/market trends

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in catering, event management and/or restaurant industry background or related field
